THE FOUNDER’S VISION

Chief Ignatius Onyeka Aguowo serves as the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the IG Aguowo Health and Academic Foundation (IGAHAF). A distinguished business leader, Chief Aguowo is also the Group Chairman and President of the VOLIC Group of Companies.

Driven by an unprecedented commitment to social welfare, Chief Aguowo channels the proceeds from his diverse business enterprises into sustainable humanitarian interventions. This philanthropic drive was the primary catalyst for the establishment of IGAHAF, ensuring that the Foundation has the resources necessary to reach the most vulnerable members of society.

Even prior to its formal registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, IGAHAF demonstrated its commitment to immediate action by selecting 78 initial beneficiaries for the first phase of its academic scholarship program.

Since its inception, IGAHAF has scaled its impact significantly. To date, the foundation supports a total of 806 beneficiaries currently enrolled across:
