On July 31, 2024, Human Right and Empowerment Project Ltd/GTE, with support from IG Aguowo Health and Academic Foundation organized a one-day intensive training on youth development and empowerment for youth corpers and students at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. The event aimed to equip young minds with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to become catalysts for positive change.
Expert speakers took the stage, delivering insightful presentations on topics crucial to youth empowerment. Topics of discussion include ‘The rewards of selfless service – success through the denials of altruism” delivered by Barr. Christy Ndife, “Self-development and the grit for success in hard times” delivered by Prof. Vivian Nwogbo, “Success through exemplary leadership” Prof. Kingsley Ubaoji, Entrepreneurship – filling the gap of human need and solving basic human problems as the best strategy for success” delivered by Dr. Kingsley Asogwa, and “Scalling the hurdles in hard times through creative imagination” delivered by Barr. Gozie Moneke.
The participants listened intently, absorbing valuable lessons on leadership, personal growth, and community engagement. The sessions were interactive and sparked lively discussions, debates, and idea-sharing, fostering a sense of community and collaboration among the attendees.
The question-and-answer session provided a platform for participants to seek guidance, clarity, and inspiration from the speakers and mentors. Participants reflected on their experiences, acknowledging the transformative impact of the day’s events. Empowered with newfound knowledge, skills, and networks, they left with a renewed sense of purpose and determination to drive positive change in their communities.
