The chairman’s birthday which was on December 14, 2024 was celebrated in a grand style this year.
December 13, 2024, the Eve of the chairman’s birthday was celebrated with a deep sense of purpose and compassion. On that day, the IGAHAF team visited the Red Cross Orphanage Home in Onitsha and the St. Joseph Providential Home for Mentally and Physically Challenged Children to extend the Chairman’s generosity to those in the community, who need it most. They brought gifts that included bags of rice, cartons of detergents, tissue paper, soap, noodles, and packs of diapers. The team was warmly welcomed by the children and their caregivers, who celebrated the Chairman by offering heartfelt prayers and singing a joyful birthday song, wishing him many more fruitful years of celebration. The caregivers expressed their gratitude for his generosity, which greatly contributed to improving their livelihoods.
Visiting these homes was an eye-opener for the IGAHAF team, who witnessed the heartbreaking difficulties and challenges faced by these individuals. It reminded everyone of the importance of being grateful for the gift of life and the blessings they received. The state in which many of these individuals find themselves is beyond their control, and seeing their determination to continue living and striving for a better life despite all odds was truly inspiring.
On the grand finale on December 14, 2024. The Chairman organized a Santa Claus party for children, including the foundation’s beneficiaries. Over 400 children in attendance, dressed in red and white, eager and excited to celebrate this new beginning with the Chairman.
The party featured a variety of fun games, quizzes, beauty contests, and other engaging activities that kept the children entertained. The arrival of Santa Clause, accompanied by his friends Barney and Mickey Mouse added to the colorful atmosphere, making the event truly memorable. Each child received a series of gifts, including toys, sweets, and biscuits, and their excitement was evident.
Winners of the games, quiz, and beauty contest were rewarded with special gifts, including cash prizes, and received a congratulatory handshake from Santa himself. The joy in the air was palpable, as the children sang birthday songs, prayed, and wished the celebrant the best in all his endeavors. Some students from La Saint International Secondary School presented gifts to IGAHAF Chairman as a token of appreciation for all he has done.
Birthday wishes were received in both text and video formats from beneficiaries across the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria, as well as from friends, parents, reverend fathers, and well-wishers. All the messages emphasized the impact of the Chairman’s generosity.
